Announcing SaxonJS version 2.6

October 13, 2023

Submitted by Norm Tovey-Walsh.

Saxonica is pleased to announce the release of SaxonJS 2.6. This is a maintenance release for Node.js and the browser.

This release fixes more than a dozen issues. It is available from the Saxonica downloads page and through NPM.

SaxonJS is a high-performance XSLT 3.0 processor that runs either in the browser, or on Node.js. It conforms with the latest W3C specifications (notably XSLT 3.0 and XPath 3.1), together with extensions designed to meet the needs of modern web applications. The latest version, SaxonJS 2, is a major upgrade: some of the new features are listed below.

SaxonJS works with JSON as well as XML, and is ideally suited for applications that need to handle both.

Saxonica (https://www.saxonica.com/welcome/welcome.xml), founded in 2004, develops the Saxon processor for XSLT, XQuery, and XML Schema, including the only XSLT 3.0 conformant toolset.
