SaxonJS 2.5 released

October 4, 2022

Submitted by Norm Tovey-Walsh.

Saxonica is pleased to announce the release of SaxonJS 2.5 for both Node.js and the browser.

Saxon-JS is a high-performance XSLT 3.0 processor. It conforms with the latest W3C specifications (notably XSLT 3.0 and XPath 3.1), together with extensions designed to meet the needs of modern web applications. SaxonJS is a written mainly in JavaScript, and partly in XSLT. SaxonJS 2 is available for two JavaScript environments: the browser, and Node.js.

For client-side (browser) use, it's designed to execute stylesheets that have first been compiled into an intermediate form (called the Stylesheet Export File or SEF). SaxonJS 2 for Node.js provides a full server-side XSLT 3.0 processor, which can execute XSLT stylesheets directly, and export them to SEF, as well as execute SEFs.

This is a maintenance release containing about twenty bug fixes.
