The Balisage: The Markup Conference 2025 (all virtual, all live) Preliminary Program available
  https://www.balisage.net/2025/Program.html

The formal papers that went through peer review have been selected for this
year's Balisage, but we always leave some slots for late-breaking work and
news. You can still speak at Balisage!

What is a late-breaking topic:

  • You just made a breakthrough in your markup-related project
  • You have a sudden insight into a markup problem (or a rant about an old one)
  • Your standards committee or interest group actually decided that big issue
  • You can finally report on a project that is ready to go public
(or you finally got permission from legal to talk about it)
  • You had a great idea in the shower this morning
  • You missed the deadline for April submissions, but you already did a lot of the work

How to Submit a Late-breaking
    (Full details:  https://www.balisage.net/latebreaking-call.html)

1) Send an email proposal to info@balisage.net by June 6, 2025

2) Include in that email:

  • The title of the presentation
  • The name(s) and affiliations of all author(s)/speaker(s)
  • The email address of the presenter
  • Enough of a paper proposal that the conference committee can understand the work and evaluate the contribution of this paper to the conference as a whole. (Examples: a full paper, a partial draft paper, a detailed outline with examples, an extended abstract. Include references please. You may include code or graphics.)
  • An abstract (blurb) of 100-150 words
  • Where and when any part of this material has already been presented or (particularly) published
