Erik Siegel is Content Engineer and XML Specialist working from The Netherlands under the company name Xatapult: XML based content, standards, design, processing platforms, applications, transformations and training. Xatapult supports companies that either lack the knowledge or the capacity in this field of expertise. This is deliberately done on all levels: from consultancy to developing applications. His usual customers are in publishing, standardization and health.
Together with Adam Retter he authored a book about the eXist XML database, published by O’Reilly. Since 2017 he is part of the XProc 3.0 (http://spec.xproc.org/) editorial team and is currently writing the XProc 3.0 Programmer’s Reference.
