This article provides instructions for developers on obtaining and redistributing Microsoft XML (MSXML) parsers.

Links are given for the MSXML 2.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1) containing MSXML 2.5, the Microsoft Data Access Components 2.6 Release Manifest (MDAC 2.6 RTM) containing MSXML 2.6, MSXML 3.0 MergeModule Redistribution Package with a Microsoft Windows Installer for MSXML 3.0, and the MSXML 3.0 .cab File Redistribution Package that can referenced by a Web page to download and install MSXML 3.0 on the user's computer.

Instructions are given for side by side mode (the user's parser is not replaced) and replace mode (the user's parser is replaced) installations. More advanced features, such as making GET and POST requests via Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to a remote server, require Windows 2000 or NT 4.0 with Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.
