PerXML Smart Transformation System is an XML data transformation and development platform based upon the XML dialect PerXML, a standalone language executed using the Smart Messaging System. The PerXML Smart Transformation System includes the PerXML Client and the PerXML Server. The PerXML Server is an extension to an existing Web server and supports dynamic content delivery. Currently Microsoft's IIS Web Server is supported, with plans to add additional platforms in the future.

The System allows users to transform text, images, animation and legacy data into XML, via PerXML Templates expressed in PerXML Document Template Language (PDTL). The content can then be converted into other formats, including Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), HTML, Voice Extensible Markup Language (VoiceXML) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) messages.
