SWAG - Semantic Web Agreement Group

Date: Jan. 29, 2001
Link: http://swag.semanticweb.org/
Source Author or Organization: Seth Russell, Aaron Swartz, Sean B. Palmer, William Loughborough, SWAG Working Group

The Semantic Web Agreement Group (SWAG) has formed to provide a strong infrastructure for the Semantic Web, while working with various members of the Web community to ensure that data remains interoperable. The group's current focus is compilation of "WebNS.net - The SWAG Dictionary" and the creation of new vocabularies.

The SWAG Dictionary (located at http://webns.net/) is a database of and home for namespaces, schemas, and an interconnected vocabulary of terms in common use on the Semantic Web that can be referred to by humans, Semantic Web "bots", and eventually Semantic Web browsers.

Anyone interested in helping catalog, define and connect the terms of the Semantic Web is invited to join SWAG and assist (by subscribing to the SWAG development list at http://www.egroups.com/group/swag-dev).
