This is a download link for Document Type Definitions (DTDs), documentation and examples for Cave Survey Markup Language (CSML), also known as Cave Survey & Cave Map Markup Language.

CSML was created to assist speleologists by providing an XML-based data format to store information about a cave from a cave survey or an entire cave map. This package also includes documentation, the CaveSurvey and CaveMap Document Type Definitions (CaveSurvey.dtd and CaveMap.dtd), and Perl scripts for converting CSML data to and from Survex format (Survex is an open-source cave survey tool).

CSML is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
