GRiNS is the first player released for the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language 2.0 (SMIL2).

The player takes advantage of the transitions, animation, event-based interaction, extended layout facilities, and sophisticated new timing and synchronization primitives made possible by SMIL2. Oratrix Development BV, is involved with the SMIL Working Group, and is hoping for feedback on SMIL 2.0 technology from the Web community.

GRiNS is available for Windows 98, Windows 2000, and MacOS 8.5 or later. It is currently released under a beta license.
