This is the home site of the 8th International Dublin Core Metadata Initiative Workshop (DC-8), hosted by National Library of Canada and Online Computer Library Center, Inc. (OCLC), and co-sponsored by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions Universal Dataflow and Telecommunications Core Programme (IFLA UDT Core Programme).

Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) Workshop Series are gatherings of experts from the library world, the networking and digital library research communities, and a variety of content specialties in a series of invitational workshops. This is the eighth workshop in the series, with the goals of consolidating the developments of the various Dublin Core working groups, sharing of implementation experiences, and promotion of Dublin Core in supporting interoperability amongst heterogeneous metadata systems.
