This document summarizes the updated definitions for the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set (DC elements). The elements provide a means of describing documents, images, sound files, and other networked information objects. Each Dublin Core element is defined using a set of ten attributes from the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) standard for the description of data elements. These include: Name, Identifier, Version, Registration Authority, Language, Definition, Obligation, Datatype, Maximum Occurrence, and Comment.
