The Perl modules that comprise SOAP::Lite for Perl provide a simple and lightweight interface to the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) on both the client and server side (tested by the author on Perl versions 5.005 and 5.6.0). The package now provides full namespace support for SOAP 1.1. It provides a shell for interactive SOAP sessions and has more than 40 live tests that access public test servers with different implementations: Apache SOAP, Frontier, Perl, eXtensible Style Language Transformations (XSLT), Component Object Model (COM) and Visual Basic 6.

In addition to the enlarged documentation and examples, SOAP::Lite for Perl offers support via the SOAP Mailing List and email. The library is free software that may be distributed and/or modified under the same terms as Perl itself.
