The On-To-Knowledge Project is working to to develop develop tools and methods for supporting knowledge management relying on sharable and reusable knowledge ontologies (ontologies are formal theories supporting knowledge sharing and reuse). The Ontology Interchange Language (OIL) is a proposal for a joint standard for specifying and exchanging ontologies.
