Zope is a Python-based Open Source application server with built-in support for WebDAV and XML-RPC. Zope comes with its own XML parser (written in C). Zope's object-oriented content database can be exported as XML, and an "XML Document" add-on component enables Zope to "import" XML-based content. Common DOM-compliant interfaces are provided that can be used with either Python scripts or Zope's own Document Template language (DTML) to generate different "views" of content. Numerous administrative and content management features are either built-in to the Zope server or available as "add-ons".
