Opera Software's Opera 4.0 beta 4 brings WAP or WML support to a conventional browser for the first time, and also includes faster rendering speed, 128-bit encryption, TLS for secure online transactions and JavaScript 1.3 support.

Available for Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/3.x/NT3.51, EPOC, BeOS and Linux, Opera is an extremely small (less than 1.4 MB), fast, compatible and customizible standard web browser. Its small size and low resource requirements allow access to the Internet without having to use the latest and greatest hardware on the client side.

An English version of the Opera for BeOS, EPOC and Linux is available. Both 32-bit and 16-bit Windows versions are available in the following languages: English, Portuguese, Romanian, Afrikaans, Norwegian (Nynorsk), Norwegian (Bokmål), Spanish (European), Spanish (Latin American), Italian, French, German and Swedish.
