This is an exploration of the completely rewritten Mozilla Editor for editing HTML and building interfaces through the combination of XML-based User Interface Language (XUL), JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The author describes the functionality of the new Image Map Editor, written entirely in Javascript, and discusses extending the Mozilla Editor and how increasing modularity can lay the groundwork for its evolution into an XML editing tool.
