The Business Component Editor (BCE) allows Linux developers to leverage the productivity and benefits provided by Oracle Business Components for Java, a standards-based, server-side framework for creating scalable, high-performance internet applications.

The Business Components framework allows application developers to deliver new functionality faster by extending and customizing application components using XML metadata. The same application component can be deployed as JavaServer Pages (JSP), Java servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans, or CORBA components without modification to the application code.
