JSpeech Markup Language (JSML) is for marking up text provided by a wide range of users and applications to speech synthesizers, with the goal of producing natural-sounding speech output from computers (reading a web page, for example). The elements describe phrasing, emphasis, pitch, speaking rate, pronunciations, and other complex mimicry of human speech.
