PythonPoint is an Open Source package for making presentation slides. Slides are defined in an XML syntax, and the script converts them into a PDF document. Supports full control over fonts, images in several formats, custom diagrams and charts, multiple frames, reusable style sheets, and page transition effects (wipe, fade, etc.).
