Source Author or Organization: Novell, Inc.

This site includes a download link for a free license for the Novell XML Integration Services beta and the software. The new enterprise application integration technology is based on XML. XIS uses open standards to provide a data hub to adapt and modify eBusiness processes on the Net. It provides a dynamically extensible services infrastructure and event system for creating integrated directory-enabled services. XIS runs on the client and/or the server and includes APIs for C++ and Java. It also provides a way to drive the system using XML streams. Initial services include NDS Authentication, HTTP, NDS access, XML Store, GroupWise (Messaging, Calendaring, Document Management, Address Book). XIS provides a way for 3rd parties to plug-in and extend Novell Products on the server. The first Novell product that will include Novell XML Integration Services is the next version of GroupWise, code-named BulletProof. BulletProof is scheduled to ship by the end of this year.
