This document defines the XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Data Model, which is the data model of XSLT 2.0 and XQuery 1.0.

The XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Data Model defines the information contained within the input to an XSLT or XQuery processor and defines all permissible values of expressions in the XSLT, XQuery and XPath languages.
