This is the home page for a grassroots project that was created to help build the Next Generation Internet on the foundation of Open Data.

The Next Generation Open Internet Directory Project proposes to create a distributed global database of valuable information where entities/individuals control their own information, and an open data standard container to allow service providers to utilize this information to build value added services. This virtual distributed database would comprise an XML powered community driven indexing service, analogous to a database index that accepts URLs to the XML documents and maintains indexes by various categories to help reach the information.
