EDIReader is a Java package for parsing business documents structured according to EDI standards. It supports the SAX and JAXP interfaces defined for XML, making it suitable for use in any XML-based system that allows the configuration of a custom SAX parser. EDIReader supports XSLT for direct EDI transormation with stylesheets, and JDOM for accessing EDI interchanges as a JDOM document. ANSI X.12 and UN/EDIFACT are supported under the GPL, and a commercial license includes support for the health care industry's HL7 standard.
