Date: Nov. 15, 2002 The C and C++ versions have the core set of XDK utilities: XML Schema Processor with support for all three parts of XML Schema, XSLT proccessor with support for Extensible Style Language Transformations (XSLT) 1.0 and XML Parser, which supports XML 1.0, Document Object Model (DOM) Level 2 Core and Traversal, Simple Application Programming Interface for XML 2.0 (SAX2) and SAX2-ext, and Java API for XML Parsing (JAXP). Also included is XML Class Generator, which generates C classes for sending XML data to applications or forms. XDK for PL/SQL has XSLT Processor, XML Parser and XML SQL Utility for PL/SQL, which generates XML from SQL. The Java version has XML Parser, XSLT Processor and XML Schema Processor, plus XML Class Generator for Java to generate Java classes for sending XML data to applications or forms, Oracle Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and XSQL Servlet for generating dynamic content with XML, SQL and XSLT. XDK for JavaBeans bundles several beans for building graphical interfaces for XML applications. Oracle XDKs are built-in to version 9i or later of the application server, or are free for non-commercial use when downloaded independently. XDK can also be used to build applications for use with Oracle8i databases. |
