The Topologi Collaborative Markup Editor is an XML editor that focuses on document processing with structured markup. The tools are designed to help a wide gradation of users, from individuals with a broad range of skill levels to professional publishing teams developing complex XML and SGML projects.

The editing environment works with SGML or XML Document Type Definitions (DTDs), and supported schema languages include W3C XML Schema, Schematron, Document Schema Description Languages (DSDLs) and Regular Language Description for XML Next Generation (RELAX NG). Topologi also handles Document-Type Interchange Package (DZIP2) metadata format, XML Application Archive (XAR) format, Extensible Style Language Transformations (XSLT), any Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) or Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) connection, Unicode and XML Namespaces. The editor offers a flexible Regular Expressions tool, Search and Replace, Search and Tag, and "progressive validation" modes useful for working through bad markup and long or incomplete documents.

A free evaluation copy is downloadable for Windows ME/NT4/2000 Pro/2000 Server/2000 Advanced Server. Versions for Mac OSX with JRE 1.3.1 and recent versions of Linux with KDE 3.n or Gnome desktop managers are in beta, and expected to release by the end of this year.
