Chimera is a native MacOS X Web browser that is based upon Cocoazilla, a Mach O version of the the Fizzilla browser. Like Fizilla, Chimera employs a Cocoa widget-based front-end over a Unix back-end. Chimera uses the Gecko engine for rendering Web pages and an experimental implementation of Quartz for high resolution display.

The Chimera site provides links for installation instructions, a mailing list, Chimera's source code and screen shots of the interface. The download package (chimera-latest.dmg.gz, 9.0 Mb) is distributed under a Mozilla Public License (MPL).
