SALT was designed to bring telephony capabilities to a wide range of Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based devices. SALT is developed by a number of companies, including founding members Cisco, Comverse, Intel, Philips, Microsoft and SpeechWorks.

This site provides links for a FAQ, a white paper a subscription for the SALT Forum Newsletter and the current SALT release (SALT.0.9.pdf, 436k). SALT is distributed under a royalty-free license.
