MacVector is a sequence analysis program that runs natively on Mac OS X and also supports the Classic environment (Mac OS 8.6 or later).

MacVector can be used for sequence editing and visualization, protein analysis, interactive gene prediction, multiple kinds of sequence comparison and integrated searches of National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) databases via the Web. A free trial version is available for download (brief registration required).
