Neuron Markup Language (NeuroML) is an XML application for describing models of neurons and networks of neurons.

This site provides links to the Java-based NeuroML Development Kit, documentation, the NeuroML white paper Towards NeuroML: Model Description Methods for Collaborative Modelling in Neuroscience (PDF, 1.6 Mb), a NueroML schema and modules that extend NeuroML with features such as converting XML to Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) using Extensible Style Language Transformations (XSLT), displaying 2D graphs and constructing NeuroML-based Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).
