StarDOM is a Python-based utility for converting STAR information into XML by creating a Document Object Model (DOM) representation of the Star data. Self-Defining Text Archival and Retrieval (STAR) is a structural biology format for structural, crystallographic diffraction and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) data stored in scientific databases such as Protein Data Bank (PDB), Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), International Center for Diffraction Data (ICDD) and BioMagResBank (BMRB).

StarDOM requires 4DOM, a component of 4Suite, or JDOM. The package is distributed under a GNU General Public License (GNU Public License).
