Savvy is online plasmid mapping software that accepts parameters from a form-based interface and renders a plasmid (a circular, double-stranded unit of DNA) via Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG).

Savvy was created as a prototype of BioSVG, a set of Perl modules currently in development. BioSVG's purpose is to generate Scalable Vector Graphics from Distributed Sequence Annotation System Gene Finder Format (DASGFF), Gene Finder Format (GFF), Genetic Sequence Data Bank (GenBank) and Genome Annotation Markup Elements (GAME) data.

The Adobe SVG Viewer plugin is required to view Savvy output.
