Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative (CDLI) Assyriologists are making XML and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) -based representations of 3rd millennium B.C. cuneiform texts available on the Web for study by historians, semioticists, linguists and amateurs.

This site provides links to a preliminary Document Type Definition (DTD), instructions for the navigation of image data and descriptions of the methods used for the digitization of cuneiform tablets and vector image development.
