WASP (Web Application and Services Platform) Lite, is an entry level version of the WASP Web Services Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that is free for commercial use. (Registration is required for download).

The WASP Lite environment includes the Sun Forte for Java NetBeans module and provides both command line and visual tools supporting Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) 1.1, Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) 1.1 and SOAP Contract Language (SCL).

WASP Lite is compatable with all major SOAP implementations, including Apache and Microsoft, and automatically generates WSDL from both Java or Javascript SOAP client code.

The WASP Lite site includes links for online documentation, a tutorial and the Application Programming Interface (API).
