Ant is an open source project available under an Apache license.

Ant was designed to be open and extensible so it could be integrated with many existing popular editors and development environments. There are several modules under development, including: Antidote, AntRunner For JBuilder, NetBeans Forte for Java and VisualAge for Java.

The source code (currently version 1.3) is available for download. A detailed Manual , a Jakarta - Ant FAQ and an extensive list of tutorials and other documentation are also available from the Ant website.
