This is the activity page for the Evaluation and Repair Tools Working Group (ERT WG), formed to assist developers in measuring the conformance of Web sites and pages to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and to make it easier to upgrade content that does not conform. The working group develops new tools for compliance evaluation and repair, finds and tracks existing tools, and documents related techniques. The primary deliverables the group produces are the Techniques for Accessibility Evaluation and Repair Tools (AERT) specification, the Evaluation, Repair, and Transformation Tools for Web Content Accessibility list of existing tools, and the Evaluation And Report Language (EARL).

This Working Group also pursues such projects as contributions to design and coding of open source software like Amaya and Mozilla, improving user agent accessibility, quality assurance activity and maintenance of validation and syntax checking services including HTML Tidy, HTML Validator and CSS Validator.
