SelectORacle is a Web service that accepts Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) selectors and returns an
explanation of the selectors' function in "fairly-gramatically correct and
understandable English".
The form-based interface has a Direct Input field for typing or pasting a
selector or ruleset, or multiple selectors or rulesets delimited by semicolons.
It also provides an URL Input field that accepts the address of an external
stylesheet or HTML document with embedded CSS.
The SelectORacle parser understands Cascading Style Sheets Level 2 (CSS2) and the latest working
draft of Cascading Style
Sheets Level 3 (CSS3), including support for CSS3 namespaces. Future
plans include explanations of combinators and selector types, links to examples,
browser compatibility information, and internationalization of the translations
(the developers would appreciate any localization help).
