Bayonne is a freely licensed voice response telephony application server that is part of the GNU Project and a GNU Enterprise component.

Rather than being dedicated to one dialect, the server is extensible via a plug-in architecture. The initial plug-in features BayonneXML, an XML application developed to become a CallXML superset. The plug-in architecture provides a support path for a range of XML applications, including CallXML and VoiceXML.

Bayonne offers support for Linux and multi-line telephony cards from several vendors. The server can be employed to host telephony services, or used to build and deploy telephony applications such as interactive voice response systems or voice mail systems. The Bayonne site provides links to documentation, a FAQ, and information for parties interested in helping with a wide variery of tasks.
