The Information Validation page provides links for three validation services.

XML Lint (which is powered by the xmllint component of libxml) receives a URL for any XML file and then validates and/or provides a parse tree for the document.

HTML Tidy, which also receives a URL of an HTML page to return the document as a well-formed XML document.

The third link travels offsite to the W3C's HTML Validation Service, which primarily checks for conformance to the HTML and Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) standards.
