Quotation Exchange Language (QEL) is a tool for collecting, exchanging and publishing quotations. The main QEL tools are the QEL Document Type Definition (DTD) and a Python-based quotation-tool package, which includes qtgrep for searching.

Several QEL-based quotation collection samples (ranging from Canadian author Robertson Davies to Dr. Who) are posted as examples.
