Date: Mar. 12, 2001 One basic error is failing to check the application on a variety of browsers, displays and devices. Incompatibility, especially among WAP browsers, remains a serious problem until an official test suite and certification program are more widely used. Other common pitfalls include deploying files too large for available bandwidth, using server-side scripts rather than WMLScript to check user entered values, using timers, relying on image alignments and failing to use and widely test character entities.
