Overview

According to Microsoft, XML Notepad is "a simple prototyping application for ...rapid building and editing of small sets of XML-based data." It has a tree-view of the document with icons representing text, attributes, comments, and child elements.

Some noted quirks include validation on file-load if you are using IE 5.0, but not on file-save. Namespace support differs in IE4 & 5.

This appears to be written for the same type of data-intensive applications as XMLPro and Xpose.

Availability: Windows; requires IE 4.01 SP1 or higher
