AGiLiENCE XPEERION mobile XML database Version: 1.0 Company: AGiLiENCE OverviewXPEERION is an ultrafast, small-footprint XML-cache and processor. It provides users of "sometimes-connected" devices (e.g. mobile desktops, personal digital handhelds, mobile Phones) with compelling performance, flexibility, unique XML-processing power and an extremely small footprint. It was originally created to support problem-solving for a mobile service field-force at the customer site. These are time-critical applications that fundamentally reside on their devices at their point of need – service delivered independent of location and connectivity. Traditional RDBMS-solutions are not capable of being both small footprint and high-enough performance as well as provide sometimes-connected access to data, including fast search of documents in a small footprint. AGiLiENCE therefore created the XML data store as a small-footprint “Intelligent XML Processor”, one of the smallest and fastest native XML-engines in the world. Decision making is empowered by XPEERION’s inferencing capabilities, which allow applications to make decisions based on the structure of the content.
