In addition, XML Connect & Go can integrate with other tools such as portals, data pumps and workflow tools, regardless of the brand or operating system. As a world standard, XML offers a flexible interface for application integration, which is independent of both the application itself and the middleware. This makes it much easier to put together an integrated system dynamically, and to overcome the difficulties often caused by upgrades to the applications when they occur. In practice, Selligent’s customers can adopt individual strategies for mapping Selligent XML documents and schemas into the data representations of their business applications. A variety of middleware such as portals, integration brokers and Web integration servers can be used to transform XML data between Selligent XML schemas and other representations.
