Overview
Rhythmyx Content Manager, a Web content management system, automates content production and publication to Web sites. The architecture, based on standards, such as XML, XSL and Java, consists of a set of pre-built, optimized engines that enable developers to define parameters to achieve the desired functions. Rhythmyx manages content at the item level, applying relevancy information to target content to audiences, site areas and to enforce other rules associated with content metadata. Its virtual XML assembly engine assembles the content items independent of the eventual output format enabling content to be reused and re-purposed. Rhythmyx Workflow manages each content item as a distinct element with its own approval process to ensure content is accurate and appropriate. The dynamic workflow engine enables users to easily update and change their review processes through a browser-based form. Content is delivered as XML, or transformed using XSL for client devices such as browsers or PDAs, or for different XML dialects to enable e-commerce applications. XSpLit™, our patent-pending technology, generates XSL stylesheets directly from HTML pages.
