Overview

Life*TYPE works with native SGML and a layout or parameter file to create PostScript pages. It is a fully automatic batch process driven by a set of rules and final pages are produced in seconds. The layout file is aware of the document struc-ture and the richness of the data makes hand crafting of the pages after they have been gen-erated unnecessary. The process is automatic and final pages are produce at virtually zero cost. The pages can be displayed on screen in a WYSIWYG format so line and page breaks can be checked. If necessary bad breaks can be corrected and the pages repaginated.
