Carels.VirtualClient Studio

Version: 2.0
Company: Carels Corporation

Overview

Carels.VirtualClient Studio is a user interface design tool to build rich, thin client, XML based and web enabled user interfaces (GUI) that can be used on all major platforms and browsers. Interaction with business logic is done via XML over HTTP. Technologies such as ASP and JSP can be used. An example based on ASP is included in the manual. The user interface is described in CCIML, an XML meta language defined by Carels Corporation. Macromedia Flash 5 is used for rendering the user interfaces (covering more than 93 percent of the Internet audience). Additional rendering technologies (for example ActiveX and DHTML) are being considered. The user interfaces can be used full-page but can also be embedded in (already existing) web pages (for example for use in portals). Deployment of user interfaces built with Carels.VirtualClient Studio is royalty free.

Typical Applications: Tool to build and deploy rich, web enabled, XML based user interfaces

Availability: Development of user interfaces on Windows 98, NT and 2000. Deployment of the user interfaces on all platforms supported by Macromedia Flash 5 (not all platforms have been tested).
