Courseware Authoring Suite Version: 1.01 Company: Myrnham Associates OverviewMyrnham Associates' Courseware Authoring Suite consists of two Applications, CourseComposer & CourseManager. Both Applications utilise the XML Docbooks DTD. CourseComposer is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based tool that allows Training authors to rapidly develop their content in a formal environment that is both flexible and modular. Features include: * Cross-Platform and Cross-Application portability * Drag-&-Drop standard course elements (Chapters, Topics) * Graphics support for both screenshots and in-line images * Uses standard objects for Topic components (Discussion, Steps, Methods, Exercises & Examples) forcing consistency across the whole course. Authors can drag-&-drop topic components into their project to create the style most appropriate to the content type such as IT Skills, Technical or Soft Skills. The files CourseComposer produces can be printed directly using any of the Open XML tools freely available on-line using a number of different openly available XSL Stylesheets. Alternatively, CourseManager can be employed to create a MS Word document. CourseManager allows trainers to selectively compile customised training material from existing content either purchased from Myrnham Associates, developed by themselves or downloaded from other CourseComposer users. Features include: * Customisable Headers & Footers * Customisable Logos * Customisable Fonts & Layouts * Outline Reports CourseManager enables the user to create a new project consisting of a number of sources.
