Guerrilla XML is intended for programmers who want to submit themselves to XML technology for 5 intense days and nights. This course will emphasize the essentials of XML and at the same time cover more advanced XML topics surfacing today. After learning how the Infoset, XML 1.0 + Namespaces, and XML Schemas make it possible to layer type and structure over information, we?ll cover the useful layered technologies including SAX, DOM, XPath, XSLT and SOAP.

Besides introducing you to the essentials of XML, we will also expose you to the URI-related XML technologies (XBase, XInclude, XPointer), the details of using today?s popular API implementations (MSXML, Xerces, Expat). And just when you thought you had enough, we?ll show you how to leverage this technology with some of today?s popular Web servers (IIS/Tomcat) and other XML-based frameworks (BizTalk, Cocoon).
