WorX SE - The Bridge to XML

The WorX SE plug in allows users to author, edit and validate XML, while employing the trusted features and functionality of Microsoft Word. Point and click tagging and visual aids make tagging and validating against the DTD (Document Type Definition) a breeze, even for the most remedial users. WorX SE is available for Word 2000 on Windows 98, 2000 and NT platforms.

Tight Integration with Word for Specific Document Types WorX SE allows for the creation of structured documents without affecting the creation of other Word documents. WorX SE is activated only for specified document types so users can create structured documents and at the same time create memos, letters, or any other type of unstructured documents.

Real-Time Structure Update
The Structure Tab shows the current structure of the document given that most documents have dynamic structures that change during editing. WorX SE updates the structure information in real-time while enforcing the DTD. WorX SE performs on the fly validation and indicates the validity status of various components of the document by using a red X to indicate a validation problem and a green checkmark to indicate valid structure.

Intelligent Markup WorX SE contains a "Tagger" that is context sensitive and guides users through creation of structured documents or the user can simply employ the Element Tab to markup selected information. The Tagger recognizes special document elements such as tables, pictures, and objects and provides an easy method to create valid markup. In fact, lists and list items are automatically recognized as XML elements. WorX SE does not soley rely upon the use of styles but a Word document that is created following structured style guidelines can easily be converted to XML using those styles as a basis.

Support for VBA Forms
WorX SE provides connectivity to VBA forms stored in the Word template for development of applications. This provides the necessary framework to build processes to implement simple organizational workflow and form based data entry.
