Overview

Escio Portal is a multichannel publishing system providing data handling and presentation mechanisms which can be used to design and utilise a finely grained model of data delivery. Different views into your data - be it to accommodate different end user devices, niche audiences or other types of differentiating channels - are easy to create. The system allows the use of various types of data and view personalisation, as well as billing schemes, multiple methods of connectivity, and other issues essential to a service. Escio Portal is written using the Java(TM) technology, and can therefore be used on a number of different platforms.

Escio Portal is shipped with Documentation Portal where you can find everything you need to get started with Escio Portal: documentation, example applications, reference material, example cases and concepts, API documentation, and a few tools to ease the development of your services.

Typical Applications: WWW and WAP portals, mobile value added services

Availability: Escio Portal is written entirely in Java and it can be run on all JDKs from 1.1.7 to 1.3. Escio Portal has been successfully run on the following platforms: Windows NT, 2000, 98, Linux (glibc 2.1), Digital Unix 4 and Solaris 7.
